JetBlack Smile is a Belgian rock 'n' roll band blending vintage swagger with modern punch.
Think earworm riffs, garage grit, a rhythm section built to move and a frontman who can croon one minute and tear into a chorus the next. The roots are unmistakable, but this isn't rock 'n' roll preserved behind glass.
Live, it's all about movement. No museum piece. No retro cosplay. JetBlack Smile is built for venues where people want to dance, sing along and forget their pint for a moment.
Frontman Niels Gys leads with charisma, humour and a voice that moves from dark crooner weight to big, open choruses built to sweep a room along.
The songs find their ammunition in relationship chaos, digital absurdity, bad decisions and rebellious fun. Nothing To Lose, Left on Read, Swipe Right and Thinkin’ With My Other Head turn everyday disasters into hooks you can shout back with a grin.

Niels Gys
Voice. Swagger. Crowd-control.
Niels doesn’t just sing the songs. He sells them.
One minute it’s dark crooner weight, the next a full-throated rock chorus with the room coming along for the ride. Add dry humour, questionable observations and a stubborn refusal to treat the stage like sacred ground.
Smooth when it should be. Loud when it needs to be. And always looking for the shortest possible distance between the band and the crowd.
Peter Debaere
Riffs. Feedback. Tube overdrive.
Peter speaks fluent guitar, with a filthy accent.
Give him a tube amp, a bad mood and several entirely reasonable decibels, and he'll produce a riff that gets feet moving or a solo that ends relationships and starts bar fights.
He deals in hooks, grit and just enough restraint to make the next explosion count. No guitar gymnastics for the sake of it. If six notes will do the damage, the other forty can stay home.
Christophe Delplace
Punch. Harmonies. Walking bass.
Christophe doesn't believe bass should politely remain in the background.
His lines walk, growl and shove the songs forward, locking in the groove while leaving enough room to cause trouble. Add backing harmonies and the occasional bass run that has absolutely no reason to be that catchy.
If the crowd is moving before they've consciously decided to, he's probably responsible.
Arnor Verhasselt
Backbeat. Groove. Steady swing.
We love chaos, but only if Arnor sets the tempo.
He sits behind the kit, locks into Christophe and somehow keeps the whole operation on the rails while the rest of us are busy making questionable decisions.
Solid when it matters, swinging when it counts, and capable of saying “stop doing that” with a single look from behind his shades.
Without him? Just three guys confused by a click track.
